Delivering a presentation in front of an audience is not the same as it used to be a few years ago. Now the audience is expecting much more from the speaker. While giving presentation or Public Speaking the speaker has the provide quality information while at the same time provide humor and keep the audience right at the edge of there seats.

If the content of the presentation is not effective then the audience will start losing interest in the presentation. Therefore, efficient research is required for the creation of the content, making that interesting and in the form which would be the need of the audience. Use the technology according to the need of the event. If you need to prepare a Power Point presentation and show it on Multi Media or any other medium.
Next vital thing to keep in mind is to be authentic and enthusiastic. The speaker has to believe and be energetic about the topic. If the speaker is energetic about the topic then that energy will flow around the audience.
Then tell stories during the presentations, stories about real life, stories which people can relate to. You have to relate those stories back to your primary topic. Stories will keep the audience interested and will make your job easier.
Have to use humor effectively while giving the presentation. However, the humor should not divert the attention of the audience away from the subject that is being discussed.
